Seeking Experienced L&D Recovery Nurse :

For this role, our partner hospital is specifically seeking candidates with one or more years of PACU experience in a neonatal unit.

This experience is highly valued as it equips nurses with the specialized skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional care to newborns in the critical postpartum period.

Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Recovery will provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns in the postpartum period.

This role involves monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, assisting with breastfeeding, providing education and support, and ensuring a safe and comfortable transition for both mother and baby.

Responsibilities :

Assess and monitor postpartum patients' physical and emotional well-being.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Assist with breastfeeding and newborn care education.

Provide emotional support and guidance to new mothers and their families.

Monitor newborns for any signs of distress and provide appropriate interventions.

Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.

Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, AD, or Bachelor's degree).

Current Texas Registered Nurse license.

One or more years of PACU experience in a neonatal unit highly preferred.

BLS / CPR certification required.

NRP certification required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).

ACLS certification required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire).

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
