Westminster Place is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Assistant Director of Nursing for the Nursing Administration department.

Salary : Starting at $107,700.00 to $134,300.00 Annual Salary (Depending on years of experience)
Schedule : Full Time (8 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM) Monday through Friday. Weekends part of on-call rotation.
This role requires flexibility, leadership, and a commitment to continuous learning and adherence to established healthcare standards and policies.
The position plays a critical part in ensuring high-quality care and efficient operation of the nursing department.
The Ideal Candidate Will :
- Assume the role of Director of Nursing (DON) when necessary, including 24-hour responsibility during the DON’s absence.
- Oversee the ADP payroll system and ensure compliance with all regulations related to nursing service and employee relations.
- Implement policies and procedures of Presbyterian Homes / Westminster Place and act as a clinical and role model for the nursing staff.
- Oversee nursing programs, ensuring residents’ nursing needs are met, and document progress towards goals.
- Manage resident care with expert nursing judgment, serving as a contact for residents, physicians, families, and visitors, and making rounds to assess patient needs.
- Evaluate and direct staff, collaborate with healthcare professionals to manage care effectively, and be responsible for infection control.
- Participate in nursing leadership, coordinate educational programs for staff, assist with recruitment, and manage staff orientation and onboarding.
- Handle staffing schedules and emergencies, conduct performance reviews, counsel staff, and recommend or initiate disciplinary actions.
- Serve as manager on call and on duty during weekends and holidays, participate in Quality Assurance (QA) activities, and be responsible for professional development.
- Adapt to changes, learn and use software for efficient service and documentation, and adhere to corporate compliance policies regarding confidentiality and resident well-being.
Education :
Graduation from an approved professional nursing (RN) program.
Qualifications :
- Active, current Illinois RN license to practice professional nursing.
- Wound care certification or willingness to complete certification within 1 year of starting job.
- Current CPR certification.
- Three years of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care or long-term care setting. Supervisory / management experience.
- Knowledge of Medicare regulations and MDS 3.0.
