Division / Department / Program : DR3AMRS Clubhouse (DREAMERS) DR3AMRS Clubhouse Program is designed to provide a comprehensive and unique set of services for children and families coping with the isolation, stigma and other challenges of substance use and co-occurring (substance abuse and mental health) disorders and related behavioral health disorders.
Dreamers is also a Recovery Support Clubhouse serving members ages 13-17 who are experiencing difficulties with drug and / or alcohol use.
We provide education around drug use and related issues, support with schoolwork, support with gaining employment, and activities that promote whole health and provide a fun alternative to use.
We work with ATL (Alianza Terapeutica Latina), probation and accept clients from other referral sources.
Duties & Responsibilities : Responsible for transporting children from school and / or home to the clubhouse and returning them home at the end of the day.
Serves as part of the DR3AMERS Clubhouse Staff team and works with the Program Manager and Case Manager to help the clubhouse members and their families.
Works with the adolescent, their family, and counselors in identifying individual needs for each child, assisting with conflict resolution and creating action plans to assist family and child with the completion of established goals.
Participates in field trips at least two Saturdays a month.
Ensures the cleanliness and proper maintenance of vehicles under their care.Report any incidents or accidents to the management immediatelyParticipate in training and courses to stay abreast of developments in the transportation of clients as required by agency.
Ensure that all necessary paperwork and documentation are in order before transporting passengers.Empowers and encourages kids to make use of all identified resources at the Clubhouse.
Attends all training opportunities as provided.Motivates youth to stay in school and overcome drug problems.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications : High school diploma or GED AND ability to operate heavy equipment and large vehicles such as bulldozers, frontend loaders, ditchers, road graders, dump trucks, drilling equipment and heavy duty trucks AND valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle report.
Note : Must be able to write, read, speak, and comprehend English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications : Bilingual (English & Spanish speaking)Good knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and city routes.
Excellent driving skills and the ability to navigate unknown routes fluentlyMust be patient and flexible.
Must have the ability to listen without judgment.Ability to lift at least 40lbs.
Requirements / Competencies : Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting / standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.
Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting).Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.
