Job Description

Job Description

Do you thrive when things run smoothly and love bringing order to complexity? Are you organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated? Are you a strategic thinker and content creator who can serve as a thought partner to executives—drafting compelling memos, speeches, and presentations that move ideas forward? Do you spot the critical details others miss and bring clarity to ambiguity? Are you passionate about Gas South's purpose of being a Fuel for Good and energized by the opportunity to drive meaningful impact? Do you bring optimism, initiative, and a spirit of service to everything you do? Then this Executive Business Partner role may be for you!

As the Executive Business Partner, you'll support the President / CEO, the Chief Legal and People Officer (CLPO), and the legal and governmental affairs organization—not just through high-level administrative leadership, but by driving strategic initiatives and special projects that advance our mission. You'll lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts, conduct research and analysis, and help translate ideas into action. You'll also draft executive communications and presentations, liaise with board members, key customers, and business partners, and manage calendars, travel, and meeting logistics. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring our senior leadership team operates with focus, alignment, and impact.

Are you a fit?

A successful candidate for this role is proactive and solutions-oriented—always looking for ways to improve processes, drive progress, and make things more efficient. You bring a strong can-do attitude and exceptional work ethic, with a sharp focus on follow-through and the details that matter. You value diversity and build trusted relationships grounded in honesty, discretion, and integrity. You're resourceful and thrive in dynamic environments, bringing creativity, strong communication, and collaborative energy to every project. As a strategic contributor, you anticipate the needs of executive leadership, manage confidential information with care, and navigate complex schedules and priorities with ease. You're a highly organized professional who's ready to take ownership of cross-functional initiatives and help turn ideas into impact.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead and support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects on behalf of the CEO, CLPO, and legal / governmental affairs team.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and synthesize insights to inform executive decision-making and drive project outcomes.

  • Document key decisions and maintain accurate digital and paper records in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Draft and edit emails, memos, presentations, and other correspondence with professionalism and attention to tone and detail.
  • Collaborate effectively with other executives, leaders, and departments to foster open communication and alignment.
  • Provide back-up support for other Executive Assistants across the company, ensuring continuity and responsiveness.
  • Delegate administrative responsibilities as needed to support broader leadership initiatives and organizational events.
