Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned :
- Processing freight
- Assisting with taking price changes / markdowns
- Balancing his / her register according to company policy
- Calling out prices for customers when ringing register transactions
- Bags merchandise efficiently when completing a customer's transaction
- Handling all cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and by company policy
- Obtaining management approval when needed for returns, voids, and checks
- Handling maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
- Providing proper customer service such as, but not limited to, greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in a timely fashion, thanking customers for shopping at the store, and inviting them to return
- Following all safety procedures
- Maintaining a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
- Assisting management in merchandising the sales floor according to stock level
- Assisting management with any tasks requested per company policy
- Explaining our exchange / refund policies to customers after transactions
- Responsible for assisting the Store Manager with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents of theft or dishonesty, and following all current operational policies
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
