Legal Administrative Assistant
Responsibilities
- Answering the phone and providing white glove service to all clients
- Manage Firm Calendar and assure there are no double bookings, and all necessary appointments and dates are scheduled to the calendar.
- Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines
- Arrange travel, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, coordinate with outside vendors for events.
- Assist with the creation of various litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents as needed.
- Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently
- Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary
- Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must have worked with legal software, case management, and docketing programs
- Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products
- Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills
