About The Position

Job Title : MRI Technologist

Profession : MRI Technologist

Specialty : -

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Nights Saturday, Sunday, Monday

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM)

Experience : Minimum years of experience required

License : Must meet applicant eligibility requirements for MRI Certification, to be achieved within 12 months of hire date.

Certifications : AHA BLS

Must-Have :

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty.
  • Graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty.

Description :

Under general supervision and direction of a mentor / preceptor, this entry-level position works to achieve competencies required to deliver specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic technology services.

The focus is on adult and / or pediatric patient populations for aiding medical staff in diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of conditions, defects, and diseases.

Utilizing entry-level knowledge, the technologist provides safe, high-quality patient-centric care and support services in various settings.

The role includes preparing patients for procedures and correlating clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.

Effective communication and collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams are essential.

Utilizes specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic equipment and techniques for performing diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.

Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm all required elements are completed and documented according to established protocols.

Transfers images and data to appropriate archival systems and enters technical data / findings for physician reporting.

Performs quality control checks and maintenance per regulatory guidelines and manufacturer instructions.

Participates in continuing education and research activities to maintain competencies and promote improvements in care and treatments.

The position requires skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and / or radiologic technology and medical terminology.

The technologist must work as part of a team, be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs, and exercise discretion in handling confidential information.

The ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations is necessary.

Attention to detail and the ability to work with minimum supervision are important.

Core knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology associated with the primary specialty is required.
