Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills

Job Description :
- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation) using evidence-based practice to ensure individualized, high-quality patient care.
- Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that reflects an understanding of cultural diversity and population-specific characteristics.
- Collaborate with patients and significant others using appropriate methods, such as bedside shift reports and interdisciplinary rounds, to keep them informed and involved in the care plan.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care through effective interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives, including research and evaluation of patient care products.
- Serve as a preceptor and / or mentor for other professional nurses and students to model professional nursing practice.
- Engage in evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement activities to ensure safe, quality patient care.
- Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum and assist in the development of protocols and procedures for best practice outcomes.
- Support efficient and effective use of human and material resources.
- Comply with all organizational policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
- Other duties as assigned.
