Description
The Executive Director for Women’s and Children’s Services will have a dual reporting structure. For Women’s Services this position will report directly to the Vice President of Service Lines and for Children’s Services this position will report jointly to the Vice President of Service Lines and the Chief Strategy Office of Stanford Children’s Health.
This position supports and promotes the mission, vision, and philosophy of John Muir Health. The Executive Director is responsible for the daily coordination of the department, for which they have responsibility, including clinical practice, research operations, human resource management, fiscal accountability, productivity and regulatory compliance.
Responsible for developing and advancing relationships with key independent and Foundation-based physicians. This role will exhibit leadership, humanism and professionalism in the management of the Women’s and Pediatric Services.
Demonstrates creativity and serves as a catalyst for effective changes. This position provides leadership for overall administrative, operational, business, and program development functions.
This position will act as a strategic partner to expand, develop, and market Women’s and Pediatric Services. The Executive Director acts as a leader and single point of contact for multiple stakeholders and works collaboratively with Medical Staff, to evaluate quality of service, opportunities for improvement and is focused on a high-quality delivery of service to the patients in line with our High Reliability Standards.
In collaboration with the Director of Women's & Children's Services, evaluates, and assists with implementation of improvements in patient care and operational efficiencies.
Education :
Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration, and / or Nursing Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Health Services, or Human Services Required
Experience :
Seven years Healthcare Women’s and / or Children's Programs - Preferred
Five years Healthcare Management Required

Skills :
Knowledge and understanding of the trends and forces that shape the health care delivery system, the provision of care, and other emerging issues in health care.
Demonstrates flexibility and initiative to effectively lead change efforts to respond to environmental or organizational change.
Working knowledge of practice operations; including, physician practice operations and the components and requirements requisite for successful patient care, quality, and efficiencies, including the demonstrated ability to design and integrate workflows acceptable to providers and staff.
Proven personnel management strength including demonstrated ability to select, motivate, develop and retain people and promote collaborative team efforts
Proven experience in leading quality and service improvement activities and achieving outcomes, which respond to Customer expectations.
Experience in effectively leading the design and organization of work, and allocation of resources to achieve appropriate staffing levels and mix, and productivity levels.
Demonstrates and promotes leadership behaviors and cultural values as defined in the JMH mission and vision goal statements.
Effectively manages conflict.
Represents JMH in a professional and supportive manner.

Pay Range :
$227,119.00 - $340,678.00SalaryOffer amounts are based on demonstrated / relevant experience and / or licensure.
Note : Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
The work shift will contain the word exempt’ on it.
