DescriptionWe are looking for a passionate, driven self-starter to help us design, build and develop big impact features to improve customer experience and deliver best-in-class selection.

You will work to solve complex problems in some of the fastest growing segments of the Retail business : Fashion (Clothing, Shoes, Jewelry, Watches, and Accessories) and Fitness (Sports, Outdoors).

You will be our customers' best advocate, driving ideation and articulating / quantifying the value for our customers. You will balance long term think-big vision with high-velocity short-term execution.

You will work on highly ambiguous problems with stakeholders across multiple business, engineering, science and tech teams in WW Selection, F2 Tech, Search, Shopping, Selling Partner Services, and Pricing to execute on vision and launch new products and features.

You will make hard product prioritization and tradeoff decisions, always with our customers' best interest in mind, and using data to inform and communicate your decisions.

You will also use your technical depth and curiosity to be a significant contributor to the design of our products. This role comes at the intersection of business, technology, finance, statistics, data mining, and Pricing science.

To succeed in this role you should have a proven track record of pulling data through SQL and translating that data into meaningful insights to answer key business questions.

In this role, you will have ownership of end-to-end development of reports and solutions to complex questions, and you’ll play an integral role in strategic decision-making.Key job responsibilities

  • Gather data and perform sophisticated analytical exercises
  • Employ data mining, segmentation, and other analytical techniques to capture important trends and create relevant measurement dashboards
  • Drive standardization, simplification and automation of internal processes and data products
  • Manage weekly and monthly business reporting and create relevant measurement dashboards
  • Work with various stakeholders to understand business drivers, goals, and actionable outcomes using analytics
  • Manage databases and work with technology teams to develop systems to support business intelligence needsA day in the lifeThe successful candidate will be a self-starter with acute analytical and critical thinking skills, a deep empathy for the customer's experience, and the ability to translate it into new features, products, and businesses.

This individual is comfortable with ambiguity and able to demonstrate an ability to use creative thinking and innovation to solve complex problems and thrives in a fast- paced, data-driven environment.

The successful candidate will be comfortable with advanced SQL query design and data mining techniques, have strong analytical and communication skills, and have a passion for using data to drive business decisions.

You develop strong working relationships with business partners to define and understand complex business questions and analyze data to identify the root cause and drive strategic business decisions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
