THIS IS A PSYCH PEDIATRIC CONTRACTGeneral InformationLocated in Bangor, MEBeds : 92 Peds 36 beds; Adults 56Minimum years of experience required : 1 year of Behavioral Health nursing requiredPediatric BH exp preferred send to manager for approval if candidate does not have Peds experienceWill you accept a first-time traveler?

YesPatient Types : Free standing acute inpatient facility contracted ER 5 min awayAll patients come from an ED and are medically clearednot typical to have lines, drains, tubes, etc.

• Children and Adolescents receiving inpatient Mental Health services ages 5 - 18Common diagnoses include, but are not limited to : Eating Disorders, Depression, Suicidal Ideation, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Gender DysphoriaTraditional medical and psychiatric care in addition to specialized therapies such as : pet therapy, group sessions, recreation therapy (rock wall), community gardensPatient Ratios : RN : Day 1 : 5-6;
• Night 1 : 16 with resource support (including Nursing support)Psych Techs : Day 6 Psych Techs; Night 3 Psych TechsRequired Certifications : BLSMOAB is obtained on site (part of orientation)Skills required : De-escalation experience, experience with physical restraintsSupport on the Unit : Nurse Supervisor available evenings / weekendsNurse Manager - daysHouse Administrator - available overnight and weekendsCharge nurse has patient assignmentPsych TechsNurse Practitioner;
