Job Summary
Khalsa Montessori School is seeking a Part-Time Music Teacher to join our team! As the Musical Teacher, you will be offering Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary (ages 6-12) an introduction to Music.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with and teaching students age 6-12, excellent leadership skills, and a knack for developing young talent.
This Contract position is one day a week for 2 hours during the school year, with the addition of possibly continuing during the Summer program.
Responsibilities
- Choose activities, lessons, and musical songs
- Stay up to date with trends in both teaching and the music industry
- Attend staff meetings, as needed
- Maintain all musical equipment, as necessary
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching music preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent leadership and time management skills
- The ability to make decisions under pressure
- A Valid Level One Fingeprint Clearance Card is Required
- As a Contract Employee you are expected to provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance
