JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Registered Nurse - Operating Room to independently plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in patient care situations using standards of care and policy and procedure.
The ideal candidate will provide direct nursing care to patients, assume teaching and leadership responsibilities, and participate in unit committee and quality improvement activities.
Minimal supervision is needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document medical and nursing patient care information
- Obtain patient history using appropriate interview techniques
- Deliver patient care using problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Administer medication safely and accurately
- Evaluate outcomes of care
- Complete care assignments in a reasonable amount of time
- Accept responsibility for own learning needs
- Serve as a preceptor for new employees, coworkers, and students
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the State of Florida
- One year of recent OR experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required
- Intermediate computer knowledge
