Job Summary :
Participates, supports and leads in the design, development and ongoing production support of the department’s own information systems throughout the hospitals enterprise to provide business solutions to customers that will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department’s service delivery.
Proactively assists in advising and consulting with internal and external end-users to achieve their business needs by developing and maintaining a system-wide knowledge and understanding of our customers’ business in order to make cost effective and efficient recommendation
- Provides systems support to staff by maintaining departments hardware / software availability, educating and trains staff in the systems application and supporting report production to ensure requests are being met
- Troubleshoots and problem solves systems by providing 24 hour accountability in order to respond in a rapid manner in order for users to meet their business needs
- Services and maintains department systems by investigating, implementing and testing equipment to ensure continued operability, ensuring compliance with required regulatory specification and safety standards
- Collaborates with Information Services team to ensure developed department systems are compatible with overall Hospital systems requirements, standard and hardware specifications
- Applies system and technical knowledge in solving customer production problems in a timely manner
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Associated degree in Computer Science preferred.
Low Voltage Technician certification preferred.
Lenel certification preferred
Evolve certification preferred
2-5 years’ field service experience managing and maintaining hardware / software specific to security protection and access control systems with hands on diagnosing of Badge readers, Strikes, Access panels, and weapons detection systems.
Data entry and formulating reports experience also required.
Experience in a health care delivery system preferred
