Process Engineer 1

The Rationalization Team Process Engineer is responsible for identifying rationalization opportunities across our South Sub Region, evaluate highest yield projects, create project plan and submit for approval.

After approval, then engineer manages the project from concept to install. Special Projects - Rationalization Team :

• High level of project management skills
• Identify rationalization opportunities across South Sub Region evaluate highest yield projects, create project plan and submit for approval
• Travel : Up to 25% travel required (Statesville, NC / Athens, TN) Home base is Maryville, TN DMTN campus.
• Work with campus teams to speed up deployment of rationalization projects
• Procure & develop new technologies and equipment focused in the following areas Vision System Inspections (AI) Add-On Automation Auto-Guided Vehicle (including development for material auto load / unload Innovative technologies) Data Automation New Automation (Global standard processes)
• New product development for Final Assembly processes
• Join CR teams to identify and develop missing processes to improve quality
• Process Specification development
• Factory acceptance criteria and perform acceptance trial
• Study, develop and set process windows and parameters for new technologies
• Create control documentation
• Deliberations for capital funding of rationalization projects and new investment
• Establish testing plan in lab environment and conduct proof of concept studies
• 3D printing
• Simulation activities to test theory
• Management of process documentation including control plans
• Collaboration and alignment globally (DNJP, TDE, DNBA, DNMX)
• Occasional meetings outside core hours are required to support global collaboration
• ESD Controls for Electronic manufacturing
• Efficient Factory responsibilities to support profit recovery for business units across South Sub Region
• Coordination of project activities with other PE groups, Production Area, Maintenance Teams, contractors, campus teams
• Support productivity improvement to current mass production lines

Minimum Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 0-3 years in Manufacturing Engineering in and Engineering role.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Experience leading projects and Cross Functional Teams
• Proven development of processes, product and equipment from concept to implementation
• Analytical & troubleshooting skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office products (including Excel, Word, Power Point, & Access) is a must!
• Other knowledge requirements include robotics programming, PLC programming, AutoCAD, & SolidWorks
• Experience in successful development of multiple new product launches preferred
• Work experience in manufacturing operations preferred (Automation, Automated vision inspection, Logistics automation)

Salary Range : $66,400-$82,800
