The Facilities, Engineering and HSE department is responsible for providing corrective and preventive maintenance and support services for the building(s), equipment and shared utilities for the client’s site located in Boston, MA.
The Facilities Engineering and HSE department is responsible for providing a dependable, efficient, and sustained operation of the facility and all equipment.
The FEHSE supports site goal objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate and site requirements. This position will be the first responder to equipment issues and must follow through to ensure resolution by either self-performing the work or directing the activities of service providers.
Responsibility :
- Perform and document preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing related equipment and systems.
- Provide on-call support on a rotating basis to respond to facilities issues as needed.
- Ensure that spare parts, tools, calibration standards and equipment are available to complete all assigned tasks.
- Support safety requirements in accordance with regulations of the Safety program.
- Working with equipment owners and developing remediation activities for alarms.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and repair complex utility systems which may include RODI, Autoclaves, Glassware Washers, production vessels, HVAC, Cold Rooms, electrical and Mechanical systems, compressed gases, distribution, and Laboratory under minimal supervision.
- Provide courteous responsive customer support with emphasis on customer satisfaction.
- Perform routine rounds and inspection of the building utilities and systems.Support other Facilities functions, which includes HVAC, utilities, and Laboratory equipment maintenance.
- Working directly with vendors on site and over the phone to make equipment corrections.
- Must be comfortable utilizing a work order type software system to facilitate duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma and 1-3 years of experience performing operations and maintenance on utility systems, HVAC systems, Laboratory, and manufacturing equipment.
- Experience using computer systems such as outlook, word, excel, and or smartsheets
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Some experience working for a maintenance organization in a Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing or Laboratory environment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of building & lab management systems.
- Able to read schematics, loop diagrams, and P&IDs
- Computer skills utilizing Building Management Systems, and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Requires working in a laboratory environment including some gowning.
- Able to climb ladders.
- Able to lift to 50 lbs.
- Able to stand for long periods
- Off hours on call rotation
