Seasonal Retail Sales Assistant

The starting pay range for this position begins at $16.32 / hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

Please note that this is a seasonal position with an expected end date of January 2026. Schedules may vary; availability including evenings and weekends, is required for this position.

Job Summary

The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for sales, exceptional guest service, retail floor operations, and accurate cash register operations. This includes assisting guests with making their selections, checking inventory locations for guests, up-selling and cross selling, and increasing revenues. Other responsibilities include assisting in opening and closing the shops, putting out and maintaining samples, performing assigned side work, restocking merchandise and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the shops.

Essential Job Duties

• Greet and welcome guests. Do all possible to make their visit memorable and pleasant.
• Efficient handling of large sums of money.
• Open and close the retail shops.
• Dust and keep shop in appealing mode.
• Familiarize yourself with merchandise whenever possible during the day.
• Work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Provide exceptional guest service.
• Promote Wine Club to all guests.
• Prepare food samples, maintain samples throughout the course of the day and take down samples when shop closes.
• Exhibit proper phone etiquette.
• Execute merchandise and wine mail orders with accuracy and efficiency.
• Due to the high volume of guests and the very high profile nature of the job, the employee must be able to multi task and be very attentive to their surroundings.
• The employee must be outgoing and genuinely enjoy working with people. Must adhere to Coyle Standards.
