Job Description
The Department of Workforce Services (DWS) is offering an exceptional opportunity to work within its Internal Audit Division as an Internal Auditor II .
The division assists department leadership to continuously improve operations by providing independent and objective analysis, appraisals and recommendations concerning the effectiveness and efficiency of operations and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.
Audits are conducted in accordance with professional standards by a team of highly qualified individuals who hold professional designations such as CPA and CIA.

Principle Duties
- Conduct audits in accordance with professional standards.
- Identify and communicate audit issues, technical matters, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with divisions being audited.
- Maintain and comply with the highest degree of professional standards, confidentiality, and personal conduct.
The Ideal Candidate
- One or more years of experience auditing compliance with federal programs.
- Work experience in an audit or accounting-related field is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and research skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think independently and problem-solve in a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Strong computer and technical skills.
Preference
One or more years’ experience auditing compliance with federal programs.
Auditor I
Based on skills and experience this position may be filled as an Auditor I. Salary Range
$21.13 - $40.86.
This position may be filled as a Career Mobility if an internal DWS applicant is selected.
