Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Hallowell, Maine. The Special Education Teacher will work with students who have a variety of learning disabilities and special needs.
They will collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement IEPs for students with special needs.
- Adapt classroom lessons to meet the needs of individual students.
- Provide instruction in academic subjects, life skills, and social-emotional development.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- municate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators about student progress and concerns.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Maine state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with special needs preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
