We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Tax Manager to join our Private Client Services Group located in our New York City office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm meaning most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices.

This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to alternate time between both remote and office.

YOUR TEAM.

This position is rooted within the Private Client Services practice with a focus on tax services for Family Offices and UHNWIs.

We work with clients to help them achieve their goals around complex financial matters tied to their business, individual and familial needs.

The right candidate will own the attributes of executive presence and emotional intelligence, as well as having a growth mindset.

They will also be eager to collaborate on client teams, thought leadership, webinars, and seminars while remaining results focused on assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their wide-ranging goals.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to :

  • The Tax Manager in our Private Client Services team will be expected to review and prepare the individual 1040 returns, fiduciary 1041 returns, 709, family partnerships and private foundations
  • Manage accounts, train, assign work to staff and communicate directly to clients, Senior Managers, Directors and Partners
  • Research topics communicate directly with tax authorities as needed.
  • You should be able to research more complex topics and be able to identify client needs
  • Responsible for mentor and support the staffs.

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have :

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting / Taxation
  • CPA, JD or EA required
  • 6+ years tax experience in a public accounting firm
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Excel
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, ProSystem FX, and BNA Tax Planner
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills

In New York City, the salary range for a Tax Manager is $105,000 to $175,000. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
