POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounting Manager will support the Controller with the day-to-day operations of the Accounting and Finance team. The position will work closely with the accounting and financial team as well as members of the HR team.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, proactive, and highly organized.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the monthly close process for the consolidated company and separate international entities
- Create and record monthly journal entries for US, Canada and UK entities
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules for journal entries
- Support flux analysis for all entities within Revature
- Manage payroll accounting for the US, Canada and UK
- Develop processes and controls for the newly implemented Cloudpay payroll system in the UK
- Enforce and manage the software and personnel capitalization policy and controls, including leading the monthly accounting activity
- Manage regulatory compliance such as business licenses, credit reporting and tax filings in US and Canada in cooperation with our external tax group and tax service
- Oversee facility accounting and lease accounting activities
- Support various local and consolidated audit and tax filing request with external firms
- Collaborate with internal teams in continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist the Controller in building and documenting a sound and effective internal control structure, ensuring appropriate segregation of responsibilities and adherence to GAAP accounting policies
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA degree in Finance or Accounting
- Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLookUps, Index / Match
- 5 years plus of progressive experience in a faced paced accounting operations environment
- Experience with Financial and Payroll ERP systems (current system Sage Intacct and Workday)
- Experience of US GAAP
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with all departments within the company
- CPA designation is a plus
