Job Overview :
The LicensedSocial Work Associate (LSWA) serves as an integral part of ourmultidisciplinary team providing essential social work services inaccordance with District of Columbia regulations.
This positionrequires a strong commitment to supporting individuals andcommunities in need while working under the guidance andsupervision of a licensed Supervising Social Worker.
Key Responsibilities :
1. ClientSupport and Case Management :
Conduct initialassessments and participate in the development of client careplans.
Provide direct support to clientsincluding crisis intervention advocacy and referralservices.
Collaborate with other professionalsto coordinate client care and resources.
2. Documentation and Compliance :
Maintainaccurate and confidential client records.
Ensure all services and documentation comply with DC social workregulations and standards.
3. Community Outreachand Education :
Participate in communityoutreach programs to identify and engage individuals in need ofsocial work services.
Provide educationalresources and support to clients and their families.
4. Professional Development :
Engage incontinuous learning and professional development activities underthe guidance of the Supervising Social Worker.
Attend regular supervision sessions and team meetings.
5. Ethical Practice :
Adhere to theNational Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics andlocal regulatory requirements.
Maintain clientconfidentiality and practice with cultural competence andsensitivity.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Social Work or a related field.
Licensed Social Work Associate (LSWA) in the District ofColumbia.
Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills.
Ability to workcollaboratively in a team environment.
Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professionaldevelopment.
Working Conditions :
Office setting with regular visits to client locationswhich may include homes schools and community centers.
