We are excited to be partnering with a valued client in the search for a talented Assistant Property Manager to join the team at one of Madison’s most sought-after residential communities. This upscale property features over 225 high-end apartment homes , just blocks from the State Capitol , offering stunning views of downtown and convenient access to all of Madison’s premier dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions.

About the Role

As Assistant Property Manager, you’ll help lead operations at this luxury, centrally located community—ensuring residents receive outstanding service while supporting the financial and operational goals of the property. You’ll work closely with the Property Manager to oversee leasing, resident relations, vendor coordination, and more, all within a vibrant, walkable downtown setting.

Key Responsibilities

️ Leasing & Resident Engagement

  • Conduct engaging tours of the property, highlighting luxury amenities and exceptional downtown views
  • Guide prospects through the leasing process, from application to move-in
  • Collaborate with marketing and management to attract and retain quality residents
  • Respond to resident questions and ensure a positive living experience

Administrative Support

  • Ensure lease documentation is accurate and entered into Yardi
  • Perform timely move-in / move-out inspections and maintain detailed records
  • Assist with creating and improving community policies and procedures
  • Help coordinate emergency responses and ensure property safety compliance
  • Financial & Operational Oversight

  • Support achievement of property financial goals in line with company standards
  • Maintain accurate financial reports, rent rolls, and resident account data
  • Assist with legal documentation and compliance with state and company guidelines
  • Schedule vendors, track billing, and manage insurance documentation
  • Maintenance & Community Appearance

  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of appearance and safety
  • Oversee apartment turns and ensure make-readies are completed to quality standards
  • General Responsibilities

  • Promote a welcoming, professional community atmosphere
  • Build strong relationships with residents and vendors
  • Assist in planning and hosting resident events and engagement initiatives
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including availability for on-call duties, weekends, and occasional evenings
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the community’s success
  • What We’re Looking For

    Required Skills & Attributes

  • Independent, self-motivated professional with strong time management
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with high-end residential living and luxury service standards
  • Willingness to attend occasional evening events or meetings
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in property management, ideally in communities with 150+ units
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager preferred
  • Must obtain a Wisconsin Real Estate Sales License within 90 days of hire (training cost fully reimbursed)
