Primary Role : The Training Services Instructor will act as the responsible party for all activities related to the provision of accredited training services to corporate clients and individual contractors, and for the management and development of the certified programs providing the same.
Further, they shall act as the primary point of contact between the company and its employees in educating and certifying them for the proper performance of job duties.
Primary Duties :
- Prepare, provide and deliver approved content for professional certification training courses.
- Monitor and maintain course certification exams for relevance and compliance.
- Provide regular oversight of course offerings and delivery mechanisms for quality control purposes.
- Provide for the internal training of new and existing company employees, both in regulatory and policy requirements.
- Develop and design new courses for market growth, as assigned.
Secondary Duties :
- Act as a technical and professional reference for company departments in relation to regulated activities, corporate policies, and related topics.
- Monitor and advise company employees on regulatory and interpretive guidance through regular professional development offerings.
- Research market and industry trends for future course development.
- Review and recommend employee progress in education for special assignments and development goals, as assigned.
- Monitor and implement consistent best practice hands-on instruction for tools and equipment used to perform field services.
The right candidate will have experience in :
- conducting external (for profit) training programs,
- the environmental, construction or health and safety fields
- or field and training experience in an associated field where ETC may expand their training services (i.e. home inspections, builders licensing programs, etc.)
This trainer instruct current ETC course offerings (primarily based around asbestos, lead based paint, mold, health and safety courses) The course topics mentioned above can always be expanded based on the trainer’s past experience.

Requirements
Required
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Understanding of and ability to work within a healthy organizational culture required Demonstrated experience, education, or training in teaching workers or adults.
Successful completion of the training course which has been accredited by EPA or EPA authorized state, which they intend to instruct.
Demonstrated experience, education, or training in any of the following : Lead or asbestos abatement, Painting, Carpentry, Renovation, Remodeling, Occupational safety and health, Industrial hygiene.
Approval from State of Michigan to teach certified courses.
Not less than 2 years of experience in a related field, for example, lead, asbestos, environmental remediation work, building construction, or the building trades.

Bachelor degree
