Job Overview
The Power Production Specialist / Aircraft Arresting Systems inspects, troubleshoots, operates, maintains, repairs, replaces, and modifies RPIE and EAID generators, automatic transfer switches, and associated components.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions :
- Inspects, troubleshoots, operates, maintains, repairs, replaces, and modifies RPIE and EAID generators, automatic transfer switches, and associated components.
- Positions and monitors EAID generators as necessary to provide emergency power for critical repairs and hurricane preparedness.
- Informs the COR of inoperative systems.
- Provides system operations training to facility mangers for assigned RPIE generators.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Essential Duties & Job Functions :
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years documented experience on AAS Operation and Maintenance.
- Ability to acquire and maintain government identification / common access card.
- Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
- Valid Alabama state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
- Ability to successfully pass any background checks and / or drug testing required on the contract.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. Government Installations through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS).
