Position Summary : As a Primary Care Physician (IM / FM) at our clinic, you will play a vital role in our mission by providing comprehensive medical care to a panel of patients on an ongoing basis.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adults.
- Advising patients on treatment recommendations, lifestyle modifications, and age-appropriate preventive screenings.
- Ordering and analyzing necessary diagnostic tests using high-value care principles and evidence-based medicine to inform clinical decision-making.
- Prescribing appropriate treatments and / or medication in an evidence-based manner and within the scope of licensure.
- Referring patients to consultant services when necessary.
- Engaging in health promotion activities and recruitment efforts for the site.
Qualifications :
- MD or DO degree and board eligible / certified.
- Successful completion of an accredited residency training program in internal medicine or family medicine.
- Current and valid NYS license.
- Current DEA certificate.
- Updated BLS and infection control certificate.
- Excellent bedside manner.
- Working knowledge of primary HIV medical care and LGBTQI care is a plus.
