Payments Operations Director is responsible for liaising with 1LoD, Compliance, FCC, Internal Audit and other internal risk partners. This role serves as an advisor to the Head of First Line Technology and Operations Risk supporting the development and execution of a strong and robust First Line of Defense (1LoD) and overseeing Payments Operations efforts. This role is also responsible for analyzing and monitoring operational, client onboarding & transaction monitoring activities to ensure Payments Operations Teams (ACH, Wires, Checks, FX) are consistently executing their responsibilities and meeting the desired operational, risk and compliance goals of the Bank. Pay Range : $140,622 - 164,324 - 232,026
Job Responsibilities
- Oversees all payments within the bank and reviews, develops & implements operating processes, effective controls, and document procedures in line with the Bank's risk and compliance standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for First Line Risk team on matters related to :
- Risk Governance : Accountable for ensuring the Payments Operations COE's execution of responsibilities associated with the Risk Governance Framework are addressed timely and effectively, and remain within risk appetite through Key Risk Indicators and Risk Limits
- Risk & Controls : Ensures business processes, inherent risks, and controls are well documented within Risk & Control Self-Assessments, and actively engage in assessment programs
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensures the Private Bank is meeting its regulatory obligations, documenting regulatory materials, and is well prepared for regulatory meetings
- Audit & Self-Identified Issues : Executes Issues remediation activities per Management Action Plans, on a timely basis, while ensuring business process issues are escalated and self-identified
- Business Continuity : Ensures the Payments Operations COE's Business Continuity Plan is continuously maintained and includes the appropriate processes, people, and systems required to maintain business processes
- Risk Identification : Function as the primary Risk Reporter for the Payments Operations COE. This includes actively working with other members of Payments Operations COE Leadership and First Line Technology and Operations Risk Groups to identify operating risk incidents and reporting them in Archer.
- Serve as the liaison between Payments Operations teams & Financial Crimes Compliance, and helps ensure appropriate risk remediation activities are executed by the Payments Operations COE, including :
- Enhanced Due Diligence Reviews
- Fraud detection and risk-based escalations
- Documentation Deficiencies
- QA / QC
Additional Responsibilities
Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions in support of the Payments Operations COE.Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.Job Requirements

Education level required : High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign EquivalentMinimum experience required : 10+ Years managing or working closely within Operations and Technology8+ years managing multiple teams through people, processes and / or programsStrong knowledge of Operations and Technology Risk & Regulatory Compliance matters from a front line (1LoD) perspectivePreferred Qualifications :
