Description
Applies nursing process and theories, as well as principles of psycho-social and physical sciences, in assessing, planning, diagnosing, implementing, evaluating, and modifying patient care.
Strives for quality outcomes and innovative practice in accordance with the California Nursing Practice Act and the Hospital / departmental policies.
This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self (or others who are under her / his direction) and for the delivery of care consistent with the ANA Code of Ethics and the ANA Bill of Rights for Nursing.
The Clinical Nurse provides care in a collaborative manner with other disciplines to ensure optimal, individualized patient care and outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.

Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty preferred.

Must have recent experience with CVVH, plasmapherisis, CAPDCCPD patients.
Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.
Must have recent experience in oncology nursing and recent chemotherapy administration.
Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.
Strong assessment skills desired.
2 years Pre op / PACU / Case coordinator experience
One (1) year experience in outpatient wound care preferred.

Department Specific Experience
Experience and / or specialty training in cardiovascular rehabilitation and in critical care.
Knowledge of the pathophysiology and treatment of coronary artery disease.
Two years of recent experience with moderate sedation, endoscopic procedures or similar experience preferred.
Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in telemetry specialty.
Recent clinical nursing experience in oncology specialty preferred.
Must have recent one (1) year clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.
Three (3) years’ experience in cardiac cath lab, interventional radiology, imaging, critical care and / or peri-operative setting.
Experience with moderate sedation.
Three (3) years’ experience in cardiac cath lab / interventional radiology.

Two (2) years recent intra-operative Operating Room experience in ambulatory setting with a variety of specialties

Must have one (1) year recent Critical Care and Telemetry experience.
Must have one (1) year CCU experience.
Must have one (1) year medical / surgical experience.
Must have one (1) year recent ICU, PCU and / or Telemetry experience.
Must have one (1) year recent Telemetry and Med / Surg experience.
Must have recent Surgical, ED, Procedural or Outpatient Surgery experience, within the last 2 years.
One (1) year of Telemetry / Cardiac experience.
Must have recent Surgical, ED, Procedural or Outpatient Surgery experience, within the last 2 years.
Must have recent clinical nursing experience in area of specialty.

Group 6- Department Specific Experience
The Discharge Lounge Nurse is responsible for enhancing the quality of the patient journey by providing a safe and comfortable space for discharged patients while waiting for their transportation or family members.
The Discharge Lounge Nurse supports hospital throughput goals by increasing inpatient bed capacity to prevent admitted patients from boarding in the ED or other non-inpatient units.
Discharged patients are those with discharged orders and that have met all their milestones for a safe discharge.
Qualifications :
1. Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
