CIVIC EVENTS – EXTRA HELP

Position will be open until filled.

GENERAL PURPOSE : Under general supervision, maintains and sets-up event facilities for clients; oversees event activities and coordinates work of temporary staff.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Required to work in all facilities operated by the Civic Events Department : Convention Center, Coliseum, Paseo Pavilions, Paseo Grounds, Paseo Farmer's Market and River Stage, as well as other locations, as required.
• Work any event hosted at these venues.
• Assist in the set-up of, staging, tables and chairs.
• Mopping, sweep, and overall general clean-up of all facilities before, during, and after events.
• Lift, climb both fixed and portable ladders, and clean stage equipment.
• Assist event organizers and attendees in a responsive, professional and customer-friendly manner.
• Minimal supervision of volunteers, part-time, temporary and seasonal staff.
• Assist in the maintenance of facilities, per the directions of the Civic Events Manager, Assistant Manager and / or any supervisor.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Hours : As needed, mostly nights and weekends.
• Regular and timely attendance is required.
• Other duties as assigned.
