Position Overview :
Infinity is currently seeking a System Administrator to support a classified program at Fort Belvoir, VA. The role requires working during day shift hours, with the potential for limited on-call support when necessary.
The successful candidate will provide desktop support in an operational environment. This position also entails offering routine corrective and preventive maintenance support at Tier 2 level, as well as handling non-routine and complex problem-solving tasks at Tier 3 level.
The System Administrator will be responsible for the setup, configuration, operation, and maintenance of IT servers, storage, and network equipment.
Additionally, the System Administrator will assist in the installation, training, testing, and operational testing of new solutions while providing subject matter expertise for solutions.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Providing routine corrective and preventive maintenance support at Tier 2 level.
- Engaging in non-routine and complex problem-solving tasks at Tier 3 level.
- Writing and maintaining Knowledge Based Articles (KBAs).
- Setting up, configuring, and maintaining IT servers, storage, and network equipment.
- Assisting with the installation, training, testing, and operational testing of new solutions.
- Providing subject matter expertise advice for solutioning.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of collaboration and documentation platforms like Confluence and Jira.
- Possession of Security+ certification.
- Experience troubleshooting desktop systems and audio / visual (AV) systems.
- Familiar with managing and troubleshooting support tickets.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Experience working directly with users and the ability to maintain professionalism during high-stress environments
Preferred Qualifications :
- Understanding of IA (Information Assurance) practices and principles.
- Knowledge of RMF (Risk Management Framework).
- Familiarity with the HelpNow customer ticketing solution.
- Experience with Cisco and Juniper networking equipment.
Education / Experience :
Bachelor's Degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience, In the absence of a degree, an additional four years of experience are required.
Clearance Requirement :
TS / SCI (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information) clearance with Polygraph.
