Private Club Food & Beverage Manager
Job Summary
The Food and Beverage Manager will assist the Clubhouse Manager in all F&B outlets. Members will know that the Food and Beverage Manager is the host and he / she will ensure the enjoyment of all members and their guests.
The successful candidate will have an outgoing, charismatic personality and the heart of a servant.
The Food and Beverage Manager will report directly to the Clubhouse Manager and will be the Manager on Duty in the Director’s absence.
The Food and Beverage Manager will assist in leading the Front of the House F&B team and assist in hiring, training, and coaching a highly skilled and efficient team.
Responsibilities
- Assists in Hiring staff members, training, and administering ongoing training.
- Assures that effective orientation and training are provided to each new staff member
- Develop ongoing training for staff members.
- Supervise associates including host / hostess, servers, and bus staff positions to ensure quality and timely service.
- Inspect the facility regularly to ascertain any maintenance, repair, or clean-up needs.
- Maintains daily and ongoing side worksheets and assures the completion of all opening and closing duties for outlets.
- Inspects outlet employees daily to ensure they are in proper and clean uniforms.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Updates and Maintains outlet menus as well as POS.
- Inspires and motivates staff to perform well and be able to accept feedback from others by creating a harmonious team-oriented environment.
- Creates a culture of teamwork and accountability among the staff.
- Highly visible to both the membership and staff.
- Oversees all dining areas to ensure smooth operations, high levels of member and guest satisfaction, quality food products, and service.
- Assists in Planning, promoting, and executing a wide variety of events to ensure member engagement.
- Assist in monthly inventories.
- Ensures all dining outlets and events are profitable.
Qualifications
- A two or four-year degree in a Hospitality Management related field is preferred.
- Three to five years of experience as a Food & Beverage Manager in a private club, hotel, resort, or restaurant setting.
- High volume / high service food and beverage management experience required.
