Quality Manager - Personal Care or Cosmetics Manufacturing

The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality management within our personal care manufacturing operations.

This role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in quality management, strong leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide leadership and guidance to the quality assurance and quality control teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Maintain awareness of internal and external trends, opportunities for improvement, new customers, changes in markets, new industry developments, evolution of standards and industry practices, threats and risk to the organization.

Partner with functional / business units to design and support effectiveness and efficiency quality systems by implementing process enhancement, operational improvements, organizational effectiveness, technical solutions, and 3rd party audit readiness.

Ability to leverage metrics and analytic tools to craft a compelling message in presenting information.

Supervise the collection and analysis of production samples to ensure quality standards are met.

Develop and maintain validation processes. Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses or quality trends.

Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points.

Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management and staff.

Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors as needed.

Review and update SOP, quality assurance manuals, documents and materials for compliance with policies or regulations.

Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data.

Key Qualifications :

8 + years of progressive experience in quality management roles within the cosmetic and / or OTC or personal care manufacturing industries.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related field.

Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex Quality concepts clearly and effectively.

Experience with cGMP, FDA-OTC, NSF ANSI 455-3 Cosmetic, GMP Standard NSF ANSI 455-4 OTC Standard, and ISO-9001.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suites, ERP Systems, quality management systems, document management systems, and electronic submission platforms.

Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ / OE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) preferred.
