Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)

One of Houston's most highly respected Retirement Communities is seeking a Social Worker to join their growing team. This is a 5 star rated, financially strong company with a long history of excellence in long-term care.

Seeking a Social Worker with excellent communication skills and high attentive to detail. Must be self-motivated and an independent problem solver.

Responsibilities :

• Evaluate social factors relating to rehabilitation requirements
• Provide personal counseling and referral services to residents of the facility
• Evaluate and attend to the psycho-social needs of residents
• Participate in and collaborate with groups
• Ability to positively manage and communicate change and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others
• High level of commitment to and success with effective customer service skills

Requirements :

• Licensed Master Social Worker / LMSW in Texas
• One year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals
• Preferred to have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing center, or other related medical center.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services from an accredited college
• Current licensure as a social worker in state which he / she practices
• Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail
• Self-motivated and independent problem solver
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
