Craft Engagement and Communications Lead
Job Summary
Bechtel Energy needs an enthusiastic Craft Engagement and Communications Lead with excellent communications skills and the ability to develop compelling content to join the Port Arthur LNG team.
In this position, you will learn and grow within the company. You will make meaningful connections, ask questions, research materials, and interview experts to create content that is accurate and interesting to internal and external target audiences.
This site-based role will support the Workforce Services, Project Management, Construction, Communications and ES&H teams in executing the PALNG communications and engagement strategy, building a positive team culture with an engaged and motivated workforce. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities :
- Develops an overarching craft engagement and communications plan for the project and delivers in line with the plan.
- Supports all site communications to engage and motivate the craft professional workforce, ensuring correct information is shared in a timely manner.
- Develops communications campaigns that inform and educate and align with Project priorities.
- Manages Project milestone celebrations, celebrating success and ensuring the craft professional workforce are aware of their achievements.
- Consolidates Project reward and recognition programs and administers an effective program that recognizes individuals and teams for their efforts and achievements.
- Identifies and shares interesting and compelling stories through various communications mediums, informing the workforce, Project management and other audiences both on and off Project.
- Works with corporate representatives to share and promote Project achievements.
- Drafts and deploys internal and external communications.
- Writes content such as internal announcements, ad copy, video scripts, and newsletters
- Ensures brand and reputation implications are understood by project teams
- Monitors analytics and creates reports detailing communication strategy data
- Facilitates the assembly of presentations.
- Manages and coordinates events and activities ranging from Project celebrations, all hands, forums, wellbeing and mental health events, campaigns, demonstrations, and more.
- Participates in committees and advocates for the Craft Professional workforce.
- Coordinates the design of promotional materials and deploys
- Design and develop custom project materials
- Supports overall brand management and corporate identity in alignment with enterprise level requirements
Education and Experience Requirements :
- Proven 5+ years of work experience in communications, Industrial / Human Relations, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English, public relations, or journalism (optional)
- Must have the right to work in the U.S
Required Knowledge, skills, and Abilities :
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Good analytical and strategic planning skills : able to prioritize, balance short and long-term priorities and manage simultaneous campaigns / projects.
- Experience in communications, sustainability, social and economic development, communications, media and / or community relations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively translate technical info into compelling content for targeted audiences.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships within project management teams, JV partners and contractors.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Experience with email marketing platforms a plus.
- Industry experience a plus.
