Position Summary

As a Marketing Manager at NEEA, you'll be a go-to resource, building strategic marketing plans across a portfolio of NEEA's impactful Market Transformation programs.

You'll be essential in the development and implementation of B2B strategies intended to drive adoption of energy-efficient products, services, or practices in the market.

Marketing is a highly integrated component of NEEA's Market Transformation work, interwoven with cross-functional internal teams including Program Management and Market Research as well as with external stakeholders.

Marketing Manager must possess exceptional collaboration skills and a strong ability to identify, leverage, and coordinate opportunities across markets.

We're seeking a self-starting Marketing Manager, with a can-do attitude. We are looking for an individual with a track record in balancing multiple priorities across programs and projects, someone who thrives on autonomy, and is adept at navigating the marketing landscape without guidance.

Salary range : $85,000 - $95,000, exempt

Salary is based on the applicants Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities.

The Typical Day May Include...

  • Leading marketing strategy on behalf of NEEA's programs, based on your deep understanding of program goals and how marketing plays an essential role in these cross-functional market transformation initiatives.
  • Oversee the development of annual marketing plans and execution of activities while improving measurement, optimizing processes, and implementing best practices.

Reviewing market studies, evaluations, and research to identify new marketing opportunities.

  • Partnering directly with the Market Research team to ensure consumer messaging and other marketing efforts consider the audiences and end-user needs.
  • Collaborating with the Stakeholder Relations team to coordinate with utility programs, ensuring a high level of stakeholder communication and engagement around NEEA's marketing efforts.
  • Working with the Corporate Communications team to share market transformation success stories that effectively reflect value and impact.
  • Leading thoughtful RFPs, hiring vendors, and managing contracts to ensure high-quality and effective marketing work is delivered in support of program objectives.

Your Education, Experience, and Skills :

  • Ability to work in-person, spending at least 2 days per week in our office in Northeast Portland
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required
  • Master's degree in related field preferred
  • 5+ years of professional experience in marketing, communications, and brand development / management required. Agency account management experience a strong plus.
  • Experience with all aspects of marketing communications and its integration (collateral, PR, web, social marketing, video, events, awards, advertising, etc.).
  • Experience with B2B marketing and market research.
  • Experience in an energy, utility, or regulatory environment preferred as is knowledge and / or experience with energy efficiency.
