Computed Tomography Technologist - (CT Tech)
StartDate : 8 / 12 / 2024 Available Shifts : 9 D / N / E Pay Rate : $1899.12 - $2188.12

- Operates imagining equipment
- Operates other equipment / devices as appropriate
- Positions patient
- Immobilizes patients as necessary
- Calculates exposure factors
- Practices radiation protection
- Evaluates radiographs for technical quality
- Assumes care for physical and psychological needs of patients during examinations and procedures, and the ages of our patients range from newborn to the geriatrics
- Practices aseptic technique as necessary
- Assists physician with administration of contrast media and is familiar with possible reactions and appropriate response to such reactions
- Recognizes signs and symptoms of an emergency and determines course of action
- Initiates life support measures for patients, if necessary
- Assumes responsibility to assure exams and procedures
- Maintains IV skills if working weekdays
- Contributes to patient records
- Assumes responsibility for assigned area
- Provides input for equipment and supply purchase decisions
- Instructs specific units of didactic and / or clinical education, in the radiography program, if applicable
- In the absence of a supervisor, assumes acting supervisory responsibilities if requested
- Assumes responsibility for portions of the quality assurance program
- Pursues ongoing continuing education
- May control inventory and purchase of supplies for assigned area
- Regularly assists in the clinical experience of the student of the student technologist
- Duties require interaction with patients of various age groups, social and economic backgrounds
- Any other duties as needed to drive to the Vision, fulfill the Mission, and abide by the Values of the organization
