Base Salary : Associate Director $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year, Director $100,000.00-$160,000.00 per year
Sales Incentive Plan : targeted at 1.5 to 2 times your base compensation, terms and conditions apply

Overview :
REALM IDx is looking to hire a Business Development Director - Pharma Services to generate new business opportunities in the CRO / pharma solutions space.
The Director will work directly with REALM’s contract research department leveraging a broad range of cutting-edge advanced pathology and genomic services lines, and commercial operations team to support business development activities and identify new opportunities by leveraging existing industry contacts and representing company services and capabilities at various forums and industry meetings.
Essential Job Functions :
- Target and source new clients by developing networks and independently identifying and developing relevant resources for sales and business development
- Directly develop customer relationships with personal accountability for a sales goal
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an excellent client experience across all client interactions from needs assessment through delivery and follow up
- Work collaboratively with the marketing and technical teams to develop creative outreach strategies to attract and retain clients
- Work towards sales and revenue goals as established in partnership with the executive leadership team
- Provide quotes on prospective sales orders
- Represent REALM Pharma Services and capabilities at tradeshows and conferences
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)
- Negotiate client contracts
Education and Knowledge :
Advanced degree in science and / or business strongly preferred (M.S., Ph.D., M.B.A). Consideration will be given to candidates with comparable education and experience.
Pharma sales / BD experience
Technical Competencies :
- Proven ability in presenting and negotiating
- Strong network in pharma, biotech, and / or diagnostic industry, ability to grow new clients and / or expand existing ones
- Thorough knowledge of CRO and pharmaceutical industry, terminology, and practices
- Strong commercial and scientific acumen
- Ability to quickly develop a high-level understanding of complex technical and scientific issues and the ability to communicate this understanding in a clear manner
- Excellent client facing interpersonal and communication skills, as well as exceptional written, verbal and presentation abilities
- Exceptional relationship management skills and the ability to build and grow connections with people of all types and backgrounds

Experience :
- At least 5+ years of experience in CRO business development or pharma services role providing services directly to the pharmaceutical industry with direct experience in pharma and / or biotech account management
- Experience with FDA regulations governing clinical trials (e.g., GCP, GXP, GMP) and knowledge of 21 CFR is a plus
- Experience with alliance and / or partnership management, due diligence reviews, cross-organizational collaborations
- Demonstrated experience building key customer relationships
