In this paid internship, you'll be empowered to work on challenging and complex issues in a collaborative environment with other talented interns.

Over the 10-week program, you'll participate in business projects, mentoring, leadership development training and team-building activities designed to set you up for professional success.

The summer Internship program runs June through August, with flexible dates available, based on school schedules. Interns who perform well and demonstrate a commitment to our values of integrity, creativity, teamwork, passion and excellence may be extended employment opportunities with Western Alliance Bank.

The intern will work with :

• The Specialized Mortgage Services Group provides treasury management and lending services to businesses involved with the origination of real estate secured loans.
• This group is comprised of three areas (i) Warehouse Lending - Residential Consumer Mortgages; (ii) MSR Lending - Servicing Rights on Residential Consumer Mortgages;
• iii) Correspondent Mortgage Solutions - Purchase of Residential Consumer Mortgages to be held on the Bank's balance sheet;

and (iv) Note Finance - Commercial Mortgages secured by commercial and residential real estate.

What we are looking for :

Potential Projects

• Projects will based on business needs at the time of the internship. The internship concludes with a presentation summarizing your findings to department leaders and personnel.
• Past projects have included (1) performing a detailed trend analysis on client financial performance versus projections and determining correlations based on client size / market share;

2) Updating financial summaries and testing covenants for WAB SMS counterparties; and (3) Maintaining and updating borrowing bases

Individuals who are passionate and entrepreneurial, just like our clients. Specifically, we're looking for top-performers interested in pursuing careers in Commercial Banking.

You may be a fit for the program if you meet certain eligibility requirements, including :

• Undergraduate students currently enrolled in a related field of study
• GPA of 3.0 or higher
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision
• An interest in working in the Commercial Business Banking industry
