Position Overview :

Develops and maintains VDC objectives as assigned.

Assigned Responsibilities :

• Adhere to F.H. Paschen’s VDC standards to ensure consistent organizational structure.
• Involved with creating VDC Marketing examples
• Assist with preconstruction services (i.e., quantities and constructability).
• Participate in reviewing CAD standards on projects.
• Maintain Project Execution Plans (PxP)
• Maintain architectural and structural models (GAP modeling).
• Help resolve VDC design issues.
• Participate in Coordination meetings and shop drawing development.
• Ability to visit project work sites.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree VDC, Architecture or Engineering, or Construction Management. Will consider 3 years of professional experience (VDC role or related field).
• Problem Solving - Tackle both large scale / conceptual level and detail / task level problems Ability to work independently and within a team environment a must.
• Adaptability - able to jump from project to project and stay abreast of all changes and are a motivated team player that can work in internal and external team environments.
• Communication must be able to discern the meaning of what other professionals are saying (and describing) and present information in a way that can be thoroughly considered and understood (i.

e. : translating a vision into a workable model).

• VDC project experience including coordination meetings.
• Knowledge / Experience with Autodesk software including, REVIT, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Cloud is required.
• Read and interpret construction documents including contract drawings, specifications, project schedules and scopes of work.
• Knowledge of commercial building design & construction required.
• Familiarity with other VDC technologies such as Bluebeam, laser scanning, drone flying, Sketchup Pro and AR / VR is a big plus.
• MEP coordination preferred
