This is a new position for the company supporting a start-up plant for a large established organization. The position will have 1-2 direct reports.
Job Summary :
The Maintenance Manager ensures that all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include overseeing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, implementing improvement ideas, and maintaining the maintenance shop.
The role involves managing the inventory of necessary parts, reviewing and completing work orders in the Maintenance Connection program, and assisting the Manufacturing Director in hiring and disciplining maintenance staff.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
- Five years significant related supervisory / management experience with direct reports.
- Predictable and Preventive disposition.
- Tool repair and maintenance.
- Manufacturing Experience a must.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience a plus.
- Bi-lingual a plus
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Train and develop maintenance technicians.
- Project Management : Direct maintenance and plant-related projects.
- Documentation : Maintain electrical schematics for all equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance : Perform preventive maintenance processes on equipment.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify and implement improvement projects throughout the facility.
- Work Order Management : Utilize Maintenance Connection for the work order system.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs : Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools. Repair hydraulic systems and mechanical aspects of equipment and machines.
- Fabrication : Fabricate materials for repairs and maintenance using metal and wood.
- Safety Inspections : Inspect systems and mechanical parts to detect hazards, defects, and needed repairs.
- Preventive Maintenance & Cleaning : Perform preventive maintenance and clean various parts and equipment.
- Electrical Systems : Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems.
- Inventory Management : Maintain inventory supplies and fill in as needed on various maintenance tasks.
Other Duties :
Perform additional assignments as required.
