Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, self-care abilities, and other areas related to occupational performance.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings, IEP objectives, and input from parents, teachers, and other team members.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, including therapeutic exercises, sensory integration activities, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications.
- Collaborate with teachers, speech therapists, physical therapists, and other professionals to integrate occupational therapy goals into students' educational plans and activities.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and communicate findings and recommendations to the IEP team and parents.
OT Qualifications :
- Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- Bachelors Degree for a COTA
- Active State Occupational Therapy License
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school-based or clinicsetting is preferred but not required
