Job Description

Training in Fairmont Standards and Policy with each venue. Teaching Engaging service, Emotional Connection while eliminating Transactional service delivering delicious cuisine within distinctive surroundings making every special event at Fairmont Olympic a truly memorable Moment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Food & Beverage outlets
  • Ongoing floor presence in all outlets for senior management presence and to ensure service standards are adhered to
  • Ensures that the Food & Beverage outlets are anticipating business levels and capture to provide exceptional guest service, employee satisfaction and profitability
  • Ensures the execution of the sales events and site inspections
  • Ensures execution of the innovative promotions, menus and concepts; creating a destination of choice for both Hotel and external guests
  • Constantly seeking out creative ways to improve service and overall F&B revenues and profitability in the outlets
  • Develops and maintains close and effective working relationship with all supporting departments within hotel
  • Helps ensure that monthly financial obligations with a focus on food and beverage cost and labor standards for food & beverage are accurate and on target
  • Facilitate current Food and Beverage training when required including training of employees on POS system (Silverware) as well as programming and maintenance of it
  • Executes the implementation of cutting-edge menus, wine lists, service delivery and standards for all food and beverage operations
  • Ensures the ongoing professional development, growth, and satisfaction of all leaders and colleagues through their respective departments
  • Additional duties as assigned by Director of Food & Beverage

Qualifications

  • Previous Food & Beverage experience within a multiple outlet Fairmont operation required
  • At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in Fairmont luxury hotel food & beverage operations
  • Must possess outstanding guest services skills, professional presentation and sophisticated communication skills
  • Must possess leadership skills and be able to motivate colleagues through difficult points within the operation
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment with flexibility in terms of working hours and schedules
  • Must be adaptive and effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by guests, members, and colleagues
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and advanced arithmetic functions
  • Proven record to coordinate multiple departments to make gains towards targeted GSS, GOP, EES results
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
  • Proficiency in English (verbal & written) , multi lingual is a plus
  • College degree or equivalent preferred
  • Adhere to Fairmont Olympic Grooming Guidelines
