Medical Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY :

We are currently searching for a FT Medical Assistant to work Mondays – Fridays who can work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include : varies clerical tasks, answering phones, updating and filing patients’ medical records, taking medical histories and recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination, and assisting the physician and nurses with patients in recovery and preparing rooms procedures. You must possess a HS school diploma / GED and medical assistant training.

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures within the Center, in accordance with established policies and procedures. Functions cooperatively with healthcare team.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :

• High school Diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English
• Previous healthcare experience required
