Position Summary :

Sell food and beverage service to guests in a friendly and timely manner.

• Work from verbal and written orders
• Take and serve food and drink orders to guests.
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service.
• Actively sell and suggests complimentary menu items to guests. Promotes upcoming and special events to guests.
• Respond to guest requests for assistance or information and discuss satisfaction with dining experience.
• Practice responsible alcohol service. Monitor alcohol consumption and age requirements.
• Relay orders to kitchen and serve courses from kitchen and service bars.
• Garnish and decorate dishes prior to serving.
• Toss salads, portion pies and desserts, brews coffee, and performs other services as determined by establishment’s size and practices.
• Maintain availability of condiments and provide to guests as appropriate.
• Polish silverware and fold napkins.
• Prepare itemized customer receipt and accept payment.
• Clears and resets counter or tables at conclusion of each course.
• Assists Busperson in pre-bussing functions and the set-up / takedown of buffet table.
• Use POS System, calculator, and common cleaning supplies.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Food Handler certification
• Safety shoes
• Constantly be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
• Frequently be able to safely lift bags, cases, and stack weight up to 50 pounds with assistance.
• Have working knowledge of the predominant language(s) of our guests.
• If 18-20 years of age, can sell and serve alcohol, but not pour
• Must be able to work weekends and evening shifts.
