Insurance Defense Legal Secretary Role
This Insurance Defense Legal Secretary position is ideal if you love a high-volume, high-profile desk supporting an 1 partner and 2 associate attorneys.
Initiate conflicts checks, input and update matter in case management system (ex. Coyote), and assign case
Heavy Legal Administrative tasks such as email management, client communication, and calendar management
Monitor and update case information in the case management system and notify appropriate parties
Assist in client intake and onboarding by collecting all relevant information and documentation
Draft any shells or forms related to answers and discovery, prepare Table of Contents and Table of Authorities
Type, revise and proofread documents
E-filing with State and Federal Courts
Coordinate depositions, conferences, and meetings and prepare materials for events
Assist in trial preparation
Set up expert witnesses, depositions and hearings
Attorney time entry and billable hour tracking, coordinating travel, and tracking expenses
Insurance Defense Legal Secretary Profile
5+ years of experience in Insurance Defense litigation
Ability to multi-task
MS Office Suite experience
Must have excellent tenure
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to work in a demanding environment
Must possess excellent communication skills
Candidate must be able to work in a high-volume case setting
