Who We Serve

About our Program :
Clinical Intern Training Department
Position Summary
Primary clinical supervision of Associated Clinical Social Workers (ACSWs), Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFTs) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselors (APCCs), located in the various divisions of Pacific Clinics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of current theories, principles and practices for services to consumers with serious behavioral health care symptoms and diagnoses.
- Provides weekly individual and group supervision to ACSWs, AMFTs, and APCCs, addressing clinical issues and monitoring progress notes, Clinical Documentation, according to Quality Improvement and Compliance (QIC) and Department of Mental Health (DMH) requirements, in collaboration with the site director.
- Assists program management in co-leading and facilitating training and periodic presentations and supervision forums on core clinical issues in treatment, including, consumer engagement, clinical management of emergencies, case conceptualization, and related clinical prime requisites.
- Plan, supervise, review and evaluate the work of staff.
- Provides clinical supervision for ACSWs, AMFTs, and APCCs requiring licensure hours.
- Completes all paperwork required of qualified supervisors for the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), including documentation of group and individual supervision sessions.
- Provides appropriate notification and documentation for all supervisees as required by BBS.
- Complies with Pacific Clinics policies and procedures regarding the delivery of clinical supervision.
- Provides consultation and hands on interventions for clinicians needing help with difficult cases, as needed.
- Completes special clinical projects as may be determined by senior management.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings to provide input towards program development and staff training.
- Interacts with other internal programs, clinical / support staff and external sources such as school or community personnel as applicable.
- Ensures the timely submission of all performance appraisals, new hire and termination paperwork and other employee status changes including informing the Human Resources Department of employee leaves, work-related injuries and employee incidents.
- Communicates effectively in a culturally competent and diverse consumer population and promotes favorable interaction with managers, co-workers and others.
- Reports to work on time and maintains reliable and regular attendance.
- Models Pacific clinics’ approach, mission and core values in all communication and correspondence.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS / INTERACTION :
Supervise employees and perform supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the Clinics’ policies, procedures and practices and according to the Laws and Regulations pertaining to the practice of social work, marriage and family, and professional clinical counselors in the State of California.
Initiate and maintain professional interactions and communication with Clinics’ employees and / or others.
Position works as part of a multidisciplinary team and interacts with all levels of organizational staff and management;
outside auditors and / or Agency vendors.
Leadership
Communication Effectively and consistently communicates contract and compliance directives to staff. Encourages interactive discussions and maintains an open-door policy.
Ensures that all staff within the program are properly educated and informed about matters relating to the Agency, program, and division.

Experience / Requirements
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
- Five () years experience in community mental health providing full range of mental health services to children and / or adults.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Supervisory experience with students or staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work in Windows environment (including Word and Excel).
- Must meet all BBS requirements to be a qualified clinical supervisor for ACSWs, AMFTs, APCCs, and BOP required qualifications for a delegated supervisor.
- Meets training requirement under the Board of Behavioral Services for providing clinical supervision.
- Must possess a valid California driver's license and maintain an insurable driving record under the Clinics' liability policy.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand or sit. The employee is required to use hands to produce records and / or documentation in manual or electronic format.
The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to pounds and occasionally move or lift up to pounds.
