Our Commercial Space team is positioned to contribute to the future of space exploration as we build partnerships with established leaders in Commercial Space.

The Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to play in a role in various commercial space endeavors including Lunar Terrain Vehicle development.

Responsibilities :

The Systems Engineer - Commercial Space will :

Apply systems engineering principles and techniques to requirements validation, product development, product integration, requirements verification, system validation, and hardware / software product deployment.

Build an understanding of the product life cycle to perform concept trade studies, requirements management, test & verification, and modeling and analysis.

Maintain disciplined configuration control, documentation, and management processes.

Establish working relationships with customer counterparts, requirement owners, and commercial teammates’ key personnel to promote SE&I functions.

Support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities such as requirements identification, development, verification, and tracking.

Develop processes and strategies to support cross-functional teams supporting integration, analysis, and testing.

Provide technical systems knowledge during major project milestones and project reviews.

Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications :

Required Education / Experience / Skills :

BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus five (5) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

OR -

BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus ten (10) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

OR -

BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus fifteen (15) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

OR -

BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school, plus twenty (20) years of appropriate work experience, or MS Degree in Engineering from an accredited Engineering school in lieu of two (2) years of experience.

Applied knowledge of product life cycle development, sound systems engineering & integration principles, and strong working knowledge of associated engineering disciplines.

Applied working knowledge of systems engineering practices associated with the definition, design, development, verification, implementation, testing, integration, and validation of complex systems.

Excellent communication skills (in both written and verbal), integration, coordination and presentation skills.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).

Preferences :

Experience requirements management tools, such as DOORS Next Generation (DNG).

Working experience using MagicDraw, or equivalent industry standard MBSE tools, to create and manage systems models.

Working experience with Human Space Exploration programs (Gateway, ISS, Orion, etc.).

Experience with requirement development, documentation, review, and verification / validation

INCOSE System Engineering Professional Certification.

Master of Science degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent engineering.

Essential Requirements :

Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
