Function : Under the direct supervision of the Donor Services Manager (DSM), provide primary support to the Donor Services discipline, and secondary support to the development department as needed.
The primary function of the Donor Services Associate is to provide donor care as well as to assist the Donor Services Manager with all functions related to donor relations, database maintenance, direct marketing implementation and donor research.
The Donor Services discipline is responsible for promoting The Salvation Army programs and services and soliciting gift responses via direct marketing mail appeals and related channels, as well as maintaining information about donors in the four state intermountain Division and its constituent units.

Work alongside the DSM, to coordinate with the Donor Data Operations Center (DDOC) and finance staff to ensure all donations are designated and posted correctly in the database, including government grants and gifts inAccept donations via phone and processReview weekly reports to ensure online gifts are processed correctly and donor comments areProcess forms and letters related to Homeless Care Income Contribution and Child Care tax Generate certificates for these credits and send to donors.
Handle special letters. Coordinate response to donor inquiries with corps officers / staff when appropriate.Provide receipts, year-end statements, IRA acknowledgements, stock acknowledgments and Donor Advised Fund thank-yous asMaintain integrity of donor database by updating addresses, managing donor attributes, merging duplicate records, adjusting errors,Coordinate the maintenance of the resource folder with template letters to respond to donor and / or division inquiries andProcess matching gift forms and assist with the processing of workplace giving donations.
Provide donor testimonies, to the marketing department.Process correspondence, tribute gifts, requests for information, prayer requests and other Provide personalized letters and cards in response to tribute gifts and prayer requests.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications (or similar) or equivalent work experience preferred. Direct marketing experience a plus.
