Business Director - Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM)

Strategic, Analytic and People leadership in a critical business unit of Capital One - building and shaping strategies for the global 3rd party ecosystem which accounts for billions in spend, and is on the precipice of material growth.

As Business Director - Enterprise Supplier Management (ESM) you will drive the strategy, insights and analytics for a billion dollar global supply chain, while transforming talent, influencing technology investments, assessing risk and growing diverse supplier pools.

You'll team with world-class professionals to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. And you will do it all in a collaborative environment (working closely with experts in sourcing and operations) that encourages you to take on a critical leadership role, promote continuous learning, and reward innovation.

General Responsibilities :

Shape ESM Strategy and Talent Profile : Create strategic approach leveraging data and market-insights for billions of dollars in spend across a global footprint while also assessing risk strategies.

Also, invest in talent elevation leveraging business analyst communities across Capital One

Deal Negotiation Analysis : Reflecting the core historical responsibility of the ESM Analyst Team, ensure deal negotiation, financial analysis and related solutions lead to pricing and terms advantageous to Capital One that drives millions in value.

Partner closely with Sourcing team on application of market intelligence

Supplier Selection : Help eliminate arbitrary uniqueness in supplier selection, and increase timely access to capabilities that advance business strategy

ESM Operational Analysis : Support problem solving to continuously improve processes especially to manage workflow (backlogs; turn around times etc.)

Data Quality : Lead ESM data team to ensure accurate & accessible data for analytical purposes, while also influencing data-products on partner teams such as ESM product management

Basic Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 7 years of experience in analysis

Preferred Qualifications :

• Master's Degree
• 2+ years of experience in financial services
• 1+ year of experience in consulting
• 3+ years of experience in people management
