The Sage Group’s client, a beloved leader in health and wellness an exercise equipment and media company is looking for a Freelance Copy Editor to join the team and work closely with the copywriters to ensure all content adheres to the company's tone of voice.
This freelance Copy Editor's responsibilities include proofreading, editing, and working with writers to deliver quality content.
Detailed responsibilities :
- Ensure that content adheres to style guides
- Support the copy team on all proofreading requests spanning various channels, such as email, TVC, social media, etc.
- Stay abreast of the latest media trends and content best practices
- Compile and update style guides as required
Qualifications :
- 5-6 years of work experience as a Copy Editor with 1-2+ years within a marketing team
- Experience with localization for UK & AU audiences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Leadership and time management skills
- Proficient in desktop publishing software and Microsoft Office
- A bachelor's degree in journalism or English is preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
- Must be able to work on-site in NYC 3 days per week (required)
Project length : 3 months to start
Hours : Part-time : 24 hours per week, 3 days a week during EST business hours
Location : On-site in NYC on Tues, Wed, and Thurs to work alongside the Creative team
Rate : $48.00 hourly, w-2
